Project description:
The well renowned gulf-egypt for hotels and tourism company which owns the magnificent Sheraton Heliopolis in Cairo, has decided to build a new hotel adjacent to the existing Sheraton hotel. A project that required a 14 meters deep excavation pit to receive the foundation and basements of the new proposed extension.

On January 15th 2003, Bauer Egypt was awarded the contract for the "Temporary Earth Retaining and Bulk Excavation Works" for its proposed H-Beam retaining system. 223 no. Soldier beams were installed around the 500 meters perimeter complicated shape. Those soldier beams were supported later on by two rows of temporary ground anchors of 35 tons capacity. The side of the project which was adjacent to the existing hotel included for three rows of temporary ground anchors of 35 tons capacity.
