Excavation pit construction for Revolution Leaders Museum
The Revolution Leaders Museum project stands as one of the major challenging projects in Egypt nowadays. It required the installation of additional foundation elements within the interior of an already existing building. Bauer Egypt successfully deployed a BC-15 to construct the diaphragm walls with diameters of 1,000 mm. A BG-11 was used for installing piles with diameters of 800 and 1,200 mm, while a UBW-8 handled the grouting for the horizontal grout blanket. The scope featured approximately 91 lm of diaphragm walls, forming a closed box that supports the museum's new foundations. Inside this box, 16 additional piles of 800 and 1,200 mm diameters were installed to bear the load of the new structure. To mitigate groundwater ingress, a horizontal grout blanket was placed at a depth of 17 m within the box formed by the diaphragm walls. The project and its complexities demonstrated our expert's expertise in executing challenging foundation projects.
